As the year comes to an end, Korean parents are pushing and prodding their little Youseoks to go to English camps. These English camps were put on by the Ulsan Ministry of education. Last year there where three summer camps. They were in Benacoal, Pusan, and Yangsan. Here is what the parents ought to know about these camps. The promises made to the parents were not kept. Here are examples of the Epic Fail;
- Korean co-teachers did not show up for class. Some classes went completely with out a Korean teacher for the entire duration of the camp.
- Another incident if when one girl was beat up by a girl gang, because a boy liked her. The girl gang took turns hitting her.
- A Korean Co-teacher lost a student for an hour.
- On weekends where there was intense physical activity, there was no emergency nurse on duty.
- Big brown haired white Barbie does summer camp, or that was what the Korean camera crew was trying to do. It seems the Korean camera crew took inappropriate liberties with the female native English teacher. Following her into the private areas of the swimming pool and gym.
I know we say they don’t make things like they use to anymore, but in Korea and by Koreans that is not true. They still make things the way they did 30 years ago—crappily. I wonder how much money they made off the penny pinching and the shortcuts they took, that resulted in the death of 45 Indians. I know to Koreans, that meant they were dirty and smelly so their lives didn’t matter much. Hey at least in India, when they arrest you, they arrest you for actually committing a crime. The Indian Tanker Captain is still in prison for the crime of having his boat docked, while the Samsung captain rammed into the docked vessel.
In this case the project manager was arrested for failing to do his job, which resulted in culpable homicide. You see they allegedly cut corners so much that the bridge collapsed killing 45 people. More on the story here.

“If you don’t like the country then feel free to leave. Same goes to any other person who complains about America. Get the h3ll out”
So if I don’t like being lynched in the south in 1960’s white America I should leave, even though I was an American. There is nothing wrong with trying to make my environment better.
Here is one of five from tekshiahjushee@live.com aka TheBigHyungNim who wishes the girl from “Chatting with Beauties,” who said short men are losers would be gang raped. (And the funny thing is, the KT doesn’t think this is hate speech or offensive.) Supposedly, he has an ROTC scholarship for a school in Indianapolis, but I doubt it. I don’t think he could hide his racism, anger and vitriolic for over a year and not be expelled from the program. This is one sorry hypocrite. Here is his original name. Youseok is a dum@ss. Over at Blackchild’s place he goes by the name of Yu Suk Me. (Mike appropriately called it, he is a flaming homosexual, not that there is anything wrong with that.)
“What a crappy website. Get a life idiot, okay? Crime happens everywhere. Don’t see why you foreigners have the urge to talk sh!t about Korea. If you hate living in Korea, then leave! I occasionally hate living here in the US too, but I am not a loser who makes stupid blogs badmouthing my host country.”
I am not bad mouthing my host county, because I don’t live there. Also, all I am doing is pointing out the fraudulent way Korea approaches everything; giving probation to repeat pedophiles, bribery and corruption at every level, racism at every level and this culture of pretending it doesn’t happen in Korea, because it makes them look bad.” I am attacking the culture of lying.
Here is part 2;
“blah blah blah. Typical foreigners in KOrea whining and crying about racism, when the truth is, you white and black people are the most racist against us Asians here in the US. The truth hurts dummie!”
The funny thing is he can’t figure out if I am black or white. Here is a hint; I am neither! Wherever I am I will fight racism, because it should be fought. Some, not all Koreans, want to institutionalize it. Like Lee “I can’t get laid.” Eung gang. By the way have you ever thought they are not racist, they just don’t like your sparkling personality. I have ended friendships, when they make racist comments, no matter what group they say they ascribe too.
Part 3;
“LOL! This happens in every country. Unfortunately, Youseok is a delusional racist bigot against Koreans and EastAsians. Time to get his haole @ss out of Korea, get back to the UK where you can eat pidgeons and speak your retarded white trash language.”
What kidnapping your girlfriend to return money that you promised her, when she worked for you. There are 194 countries in the world. You said it happens everywhere. How about providing proof, show me a kidnapping and hostage situation in all 194 countries. Ask a Kiwi if it happens there, they are considered the most honest country in the world.
Part 4;
“youseok, you f@cking brit cracker haole dipsh!t. There are plenty more whiteys who commit murder and crimes here in amerikkka, run away from prison and murder more people. Man, you are so myopic with your hatred for Korea. If you really hate living in Korea, get your f@cking haole @ss out of Korea, okay!??”
Wow, he/she is all over the place here. And the foul mouth he/she has. He can’t figure out if I am black, white, Brit or American. HAHAHA. He says he doesn’t talk sh!t about his host country, yet here it is. nd here, he spells America with 3k’s. A country, that protects his country, propped up the won, along with Japanese and the Chinese, when it nearly collapsed last year. And here is part 5;
“Ahaha! man, you are such a f@cking loser to be posting all these articles about Koreans abroard. The truth is, you f@ucking crackers whitey loser boys in Korea commit more crimes abroad in other countries!”
Now, he is back to thinking I am white. He says I am a loser, because I write this blog. He tried writing a blog once, it used the n word so much, I was beginning to think that was the only word he knew. I wonder how much of a loser he considers himself, because he commented five times. I don’t usually respond to something, unless it really really bothers me. Like the light sentences, that the Korean judicial sentences given to Korean rapists and Korean pedophiles. And the institutional racism that Korea has going for it. Oh, and Korea pretends like it doesn’t happen there. We know better now, don’t we! I guess the truth hurts. Don’t worry, I am not laughing with you, I am laughing at you! Thank you for providing me with such wonderful humour this morning. Here are screen shots of his blog.
And here is his earlier post where he was banned from Asia’s Finest forum. Even that racist forum felt he was too racist for them.
This one is from a different James, not one that I have a bet with. His Japanese dentist didn’t like him using his email account, so I won’t post it.
“Youseok, you have series of articles written exposing Koreans in a negative light. Not one of them encourages or promotes Korean values and culture. Correct me if I’m wrong but your name sounds Korean. Your negative campaign exclusively against our people not only reveal your psychologically traumatic backgound but your dissatifaction with all Koreans in general. Your name says it all, you really do s@ck.”
Didn’t you read the about section? I am not here to support the Korean culture of rape, racism and repeat. I don’t have a problem with all Koreans in general, just people like Kang (I make up stories, such as a fake interview with a rape victim) sh!t who. I want to embarrass Koreans to end that part of their culture. It seems the only times some Koreans act honorably is when they are shamed into it or it affects their pocketbook.
Here is one from ImKoreanToo, fake email address too.
Part 1;
“You’re the equivlaent of North Korean communist really. You only post what you want to with your opinionated spin. Anyone with differing opinion or insight is ignored. You have 9,000 readers… how many lies are you spreading here?”
Part 2;
“”All the news “KT” won’t print’
Yet, when trying to add some insight and more details like I did, you won’t print that, will you? How offensive… you try to be some champion for justice but really just have self-serving agendas. Prove me wrong and post my comment about Mr Yi from Orlando!”
I never said I was a champion for justice, I only said I am here to end the practice of lying to save face. And as a sub-issue the laughable sentences given to pedophiles, rapists and ending the practice of institutionalised racism. The funny thing is; if you appealed to my better angels without insulting me and showing me that lying to save face is not a good idea, you would have gotten a column here. And no snarky comments would have been added. Please look how James the Second argued his points, not once did he attack the blog administrator.
Todays story contribution comes from reader James. I have a bet with him that will start January 2nd. I will explain more about this bet at another time.
“By the way, here’s another example of criminal activity committed by Koreans abroad. This article is particularly interesting because it is concerned with the very kinds of crimes Koreans often falsely accuse foreigners of, namely visa and credential forgery on a massive scale. And the icing on the cake is that it was all committed by a ‘holier-than-thou’ Korean pastor who in 13 years of living in the United States didn’t even manage to learn the language! All he did was lead the blind sheep astray and abuse the system for personal gain:
http://www.myfoxla.com/dpp/news/local/pastor-accused-student-visa-conspiracy-20091223“
And Merry Christmas evryone. I will be with my family, so don’t look for anything new until Monday.
Note: To Korean nationals do not bring your Korean culture public drunkenness with you to America.
It seems Youn Bum Lee pleaded guilty to one count of felony manslaughter. Lee and six co-workers consumed 12 bottles of soju then proceeded to a karaoke room where they proceeded to drink more. Lee then was driving his SUV with his headlights off and crashed into the center median starting a chain reaction, that resulted in the death of Ryan Dallas Cook. A 23 year-old student at Golden West College in Huntington Beach.
I guess Youn Bum Lee (Maybe it should be pronounced You Bum Lee.) didn’t feel Mr. Cook’s life was worth anything, because the next day he fled the scene for Korea. Or maybe he knew the I was drunk defense wouldn’t work either. The South Korean Fugitive was returned to the US where he now resides in a California Prison cell. I would also like to know if there were any ladies present in the Karaoke club and where any of them assaulted. Those are another famous ‘habits’ of Korean businessmen.
it is time for another episode of Korea’s escaped rapist. Today we feature Tae Man Kim. (Not Hey Man Kim or Hey man, it’s Kim.) Also, since he is a convicted rapists, can we actually call him a man? We suspect him to be in Korea, probably working as an enforcer for one of the many gambling joints or for one of the many red light districts.
Tae Man Kim has been convicted in the California Justice System for the crime of rape by force. He has been missing since 1998. We believe him to be back in Korea. He is described as being 5′ 7″ weighing 175 pounds, having brown eyes and black hair. His photo can be seen here, Tae (not a man) Kim.
I guess the Friday Night argument in Sabang must have been a diversionary tactic fora Korean national to escape from the Philippines. The Filipino judicial system working with Interpol requested the arrest of Korean National Tae Sung Park in Macau, for possessing ID cards and other possession of the two murder victims. Tae Sung Park was detained in Macau, China. He is said to be ”a person of interest.” We all know what that is code for. According to consul Jung, he believes the two victims were either there to sell illegal drugs or some other money making scheme.
From the Cebu Sun-Star, “It is not yet known, though, if the arrest was related to the incident here in Cebu or if he has a pending case there.The two dead men were identified as Choi Ho Jun, 41, and Yang Soon Suk, 40, by Kang Jung II, who reportedly knew them, and Korean Consul Jung San Chul. De Lemos, however, has refused to comment on this, saying investigators are still trying to establish the motive.”
(Canada you were left out, because you are way ahead of the game in activism.)
Even though the Americans got the ball rolling with the Los Angeles Times (unbelievably they own the Korean Times), we are not keeping the ball rolling in pressuring the media and our representatives in making this a national story in America. Are we going to let our brothers and sisters to the North out do us in making and keeping the story national. And now the Brits are getting into the act. Here our reader Lister (See Red Dwarf) has come up with a letter that he sent out to World Have Your Say(WHYS). I am sure he wouldn’t mind us using it to get WHYS’ attention. Maybe there is an American out there that can come up with an eloquent version urging our news programs and papers to cover this. And also one that essentially tells congress to tell Korea to go f@ck themselves, unless they clean up their act.
(Pssst. Lister I think you spelled program worng. American joke, so is the wrong spelling of the word wrong.)
E-mail sent to the BBC’s programme ‘World Have Your Say’
Dear WHYS,
I’ve been keen listener to your show for a couple of years now in my adopted home of South Korea. I’m originally from the UK but have lived here for over three years and one thing I’ve noticed about your show is that you very rarely (if ever) cover issues about the Far East. More often the focus tends to be North America/Europe/Africa or occasionally the Middle East.
One issue I’d like to suggest for WHYS is the extreme nationalism and xenophobia faced by foreigners in South Korea in whose schools children were taught until as recently as five years ago that Korea was a ‘pure blood race’.
The issue of socially acceptable racism in South Korea has come to a fore in the last couple of years with the ultra-nationalism group, the Anti-English Spectrum (AES) who amongst other things have been accused of stalking foreign English teachers, issuing death threats and threats of violence towards foreigners and have even had access to senior government minister in drafting immigration policy which compels all foreign English teachers of non-Korean ethnicity to undergo annual AIDS tests and submit annual criminal background checks (this does not apply to Korean teachers or foreigners of Korean ethnicity such as Korean Americans).
The CBC in Canada ran feature about the AES on their morning flagship current affairs program ‘The Current’ on CBC Radio 1 a couple of weeks ago and since then their has been considerable coverage in Canadian press and indeed the blogosphere in general.
At the moment there are over 20,000 officially registered native English teachers resident in Korea including myself with many thousands more who teach ‘privates’ though they are not officially registered.
I would be most grateful to WHYS if you would look into the possibility of this topic for a show and perhaps talk about why racism, which in Western society is socially unacceptable in the mainstream, is quite tolerated and even encouraged in mainstream media in east Asia, notably Japan and to an extreme degree in Korea where national daily newspapers have published press released from the AES group.
I have pasted a number of links below for you to follow and perhaps research this topic. I regret that I must keep my name confidential at the moment. The atmosphere in South Korea against English teachers has reached fever pitch and numerous bloggers, commentators and anti-racist activists such as Andrea Vandom who has a case in the the Korean supreme court, have been threatened with deportation, violence or even death in the case of the President of ATEK (The Association of Teachers of English in Korea).
I have pasted the CBC podcast link of their radio feature on ultranationalism and persecution of foreigners by the AES to this e-mail.

It seems Koreans can’t help themselves when it comes to child molesting and light sentences, race relations and drugs and light sentences. Today Koreabeat has two articles one on child molestation by a Korean who only got three years. I guess that three years as opposed to 8 months is considered tough. Also, a Korean national was granted extradition to his home country rather than face the charges in Singapore, because Singapore is too strict in punishing drug users. I wonder if he can use I was under the influence of alcohol when I took the drugs defense.
Now Recruiterinkorea has discussed race relations in the hiring practices in the ESL industry, but the star of the show should be Mike over at BlackChild in Korean Kimchi Country. This is about his recent un-isolated experience on a bus trip to Seoul. He should get the Youseok Hall of fame award for this post. I won’t post an excerpt here, because Mike deserves all the hits from what he has written, but has anyone noticed that all these people are copying my sarcastic wit on their issues.
(Shame on you Koreabeat, Recruiter in Korea and BlackboyinKimchiCountry.
The Paraguayan police almost stormed the fabric store of Korean businessman Sun Wei Lin. The reason he was holding her; he claimed that she took money from her. Almost anyone that has worked at a hakwon(cram school) or did a three D job (dirty, difficult and dangerous) know Koreans have a habit of not paying their employees. Somebody from the Korean embassy negotiated the release of Korean National Peun (snickering, because of what this sounds like in Thai) Song Chung Kim. Lin was taken to the Korean Embassy before he was formally charged in Paraguay for kidnapping.
Here is a link to the story with a pic of Sun Wei Lin.
